| CREW TAKES FIRST PLACE AT SINGING RIVER CLASSIC 5-A-SIDE |
| GAUTIER, Miss. - Just after viewing 4th of July fireworks the night before the Crew quickly prepared to start bracket-play at the Singing River Classic 5-a-side tournament. With only two scheduled bracket games the Crew came out dragging and lost both of them which placed them as the low seed for the tournament play-off bracket the following day. A rejuvenated team in the play-offs the Crew went on an undefeated play-off run to capture first place in the tournament beating Liverpool in the quarter-final, Washouts in the semi-final and Keesler in the championship match. The Gulf Coast Crew consisted of Jeff Bowman, Kyle Kimbrell, Brock Moss, Angel Plascencia, Neil Scott, Terry Silva, Nick Zelenka and Ryan Zelenka. |

| PASCAGOULA, Miss. - With good weather and a great atmosphere the 1st annual Gulf Coast Crew 3v3 tournament was seen as successful in almost every way. Youth and adult teams traveled from all over the southeastern United States to join in and compete. The Crew had a good run in the tournament ending up with silver metals after a sudden death shoot-out with the STYSA Twisters in the adult finals. At the end of regulation the Crew and Twisters were tied and advanced to a golden goal overtime witch was scoreless. A shoot-out was next and with the first round also ending equal the Crew fell short when the shoot-out became a sudden death competition. In the Crew's semi-final another close game ended at the Crew scored in golden goal overtime against the Gulf Coast Dynasty. In the boy's under-16 division the Tech Titans won first place, FCFC won second place and the Dream Team won third place. In the under-12 division the St. John Warriors won first place, the Pelicans II won second place and the Pelicans I won third place. In the under-10 division the Celtic Fire won first place, the Yellow Jackets won second place and the Coast Heat won third place. Plans for the 2009 Gulf Coast Crew 3v3 are under way and include opening more divisions. The Crew would like to thank Monster Energy for sponsoring the event. |

| BIRMINGHAM, Alab. - The Gulf Coast Crew traveled to Birmingham, Alabama to participate in the "Summer Sizzler" indoor tournament. Few on the team had experienced soccer in this indoor style of play. The Crew's first game was a loss to Memphis Dragons FC. Memphis Dragons FC are a team comprised of previous players from the Memphis Mojo, a pro indoor soccer team that once had plans to join the American Indoor Soccer League. With many lessons learned from the first match, the Crew earned their first indoor soccer victory against Mexico United. In game three the Crew lost to Santa Fe de Colombia by one goal. The Crew lead most of the match until Santa Fe de Colombia put in two goals near the end of regulation time. Santa Fe de Colombia went on the beat Memphis Dragons FC in the final with a score of 5-2. With much indoor soccer experience gained throughout the weekend, the Gulf Coast Crew players look forward to participating next year. |

| PASCAGOULA, Miss. - The second annual "Christmas with the Crew" 7-a-side tournament saw the Gulf Coast Crew defeat Fury FC in the final by a score of 9-6. The tournament brought many competitive teams from surrounding areas, all with intent of finishing top of the tournament. These closely matched teams kept score lines tight which gave spectators exciting games to watch throughout this first ever one-day tournament hosted by the Gulf Coast Crew. December 12th, 2009 has already been chosen for the third annual "Christmas with the Crew" 7-a-side tournament with expectations to open more divisions to continue the fast growth of this annual winter soccer tournament on the MIssissippi coast. The Gulf Coast Crew would like to thank Icelandic Glacial Water, 180 Energy Drink, and Miller and Miller Law Firm for sponsoring the tournament. |
| GAUTIER, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Crew ended a weekend of soccer with two first place finishes. One day after taking first place in the second annual "Christmas with the Crew" 7-a-side tournament, the Crew took home the first place trophy from the Diving Header Soccer "3v3 Soccer Challenge." The Gulf Coast Crew entered a White and a Red team into the tournament with hopes of an ideal outcome, which included the two teams meeting in the final of the Men's Open Division. The Gulf Coast Crew White team did as needed to fulfill this expectation by winning first place in their group. The Gulf Coast Crew Red team tied for first in their group; however, due to goal differential, they had to settle for second. Consequently, for the first time ever, the Gulf Coast Crew players saw their usual teammates as the next obstacle to advance to the final. A competitive match of friends finished with the Gulf Coast Crew White team victorious over the Gulf Coast Crew Red team, moving them onto the final. In the final, the Gulf Coast Crew White team dominated play as they defeated Cool Running with a score of 7-2. The Gulf Coast Crew White team consisted of Patrick Grafton, Joel Miller, Angel Plascencia, Neil Scott, and David Smith. |

| PASCAGOULA, Miss. - "Building the Game" headlined the Sports section of the January 4th, 2009 edition of The Mississippi Press. Gulf Coast Crew director, Neil Scott, was interviewed about the continuous growth of the organization and about plans for 2009. In 2009 the Gulf Coast Crew are hosting two 7-a-side tournaments, one 3v3 tournament, a golf tournament and the 4th annual Gulf Coast Crew Soccer Camp, all in an effort to bring more interest to the game of soccer to the Mississippi Gulf Coast area. Also in the article the Crew was acknowledged for winning two tournaments in one weekend, a first for the club. On Saturday, December 13, 2008 the Crew won the 2nd annual "Christmas with the Crew" 7-a-side tournament in Pascagoula, Mississippi and on Sunday, December 14, 2008 the Crew won the "3v3 Soccer Challenge in Gautier, Mississippi. ![]() David Smith (Junior) Delta State University Smith netted 10 goals and 2 assists in his first 8 games as a Statesmen. He was awarded as the first ever Delta State University Male Athlete of the Week as well as the Gulf South Conference Male Player of the Week in September. Smith ranked as the third leading scorer in the Gulf South Conference. Delta State ended with an 8-9-1 record for the 2008 season. Jarred Wooley (Senior) Richard Beebe (Junior) William Carey University Wooley finished the 2008 season with 12 goals, which ranked him first on his team and third in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. In October Wooley was the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week and was nominated as the NAIA National Player of the Week. Beebe finished the season with 1 goal and 1 assist. With a record of 12-5-1 William Carey finished second in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference and 25th in the NAIA top 25 national polls. Neil Scott (Senior) Belhaven College Scott’s Belhaven Blazers had a record season with 14 wins and a peak position of 6th in the NAIA top 25 national polls. With a record of 14-4-1 Belhaven finished 3rd in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference and receiving votes into the NAIA top 25 national polls. Angel Plascencia (Freshmen) Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. Plascencia finished with 7 goals with 6 assists on the 2008 season. The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs lost to the Hinds Community College Eagles in the MACJC state championship game. Matt Clifton (Sophomore) Nick Zelenka (Sophomore) Meridian C.C. Clifton finished with 3 goals on the 2008 season, which tied him for second leading scorer on the team. Zelenka finish with 1 goal on the season. The Meridian Community College Eagles lost to Hinds Community College Eagles in the men’s Region 23 Championship game and finished with a record of 8-7-3. _______________________

| JACKSON, Miss – The Gulf Coast Crew made another appearance at the Belhaven College annual futsal tournament. Last year the Crew lost in a thrilling final in overtime against the Blazers from Belhaven College. Much was expected this year as the Crew started off by defeating Meridian Community College in game one of bracket play. In game two the Crew fell to Belhaven Alumni, the eventual tournament champions, by a score of 5-7. The Crew needed to win game three to be the top second place team out of the three tournament brackets in order to make it to the semi-finals. As game three came and went the Crew were upset by Millsaps College and were unable to compete further in the tournament. The team expects to return for the 2010 futsal tournament and finish with better results. |

| PASCAGOULA, Miss. - Under the scorching summer sun, the Gulf Coast Crew 7-a-side soccer tournament was progressed as scheduled and considered a success by all involved. The Gulf Coast Crew finished the tournament with a loss in the semi-final to the Bobcats out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. In the final the Bobcats were beaten in overtime by the Whities, who were also from Hattiesburg. With tempetures dangerously above 100 degrees throughout parts of the weekend, the Gulf Coast Crew have decided to make this annual 7-a-side tournament an afternoon/night tournament for the summer of 2010. The Crew's next competition will be their own Gulf Coast Crew 3v3 tournament on July 11-12 held at the Pascagoula Soccer Complex. |

| PASCAGOULA, Miss – The 4th annual Gulf Coast Crew Soccer Camp finished successfully as campers from south Mississippi and Alabama came together to learn, enjoy, and have fun playing the game of soccer. "The new addition of Kiddie Kicks went great, we really liked having the younger ones out there. Our goal is to grow the camp every summer as well as giving the kids a reason to get out and play soccer," said camp director, Neil Scott. The Gulf Coast Crew is looking to expand the camp experience by hosting specific team camps, indoor soccer camps, as well as the annual soccer camp. The 2009 camp staff consisted of Neil Scott and Ryan Zelenka, with a Kiddie Kicks staff made up of Katie Alderman and Becca Scott. |
